R1 Records is an independent record label built around artist development, creative freedom, and music with something to say. We work with artists to develop their sound, identity, and vision while creating meaningful opportunities to share their work with the world. As part of R1 Collective, R1 Records is committed to building lasting careers and creating a space where distinctive voices can grow.
R1 Records was founded in 2021 with a clear belief: independent artists deserve the opportunity to build meaningful, lasting careers without compromising what makes their music and creative vision unique.
What began as an emerging independent label has grown through years of preparation, development, and refinement. In 2024, R1 welcomed its first signed artist, TRÏBE, marking an important milestone in the label's evolution.
In 2025, R1 entered a new chapter through a complete rebrand, bringing greater clarity to the identity and vision of the company. Today, R1 Records is focused on developing distinctive artists, creating meaningful opportunities, and building a respected brand within the independent music community.
The goal has always been bigger than simply releasing music. R1 is building a culture and a community around talented people, creative independence, and the belief that the independent path can lead somewhere significant.
